As you can see on the pictures, Lioele dropped for once its trademark hot pink in favor of a light blue color that better fits the water concept of this pack. Actually, not every single Lioele cosmetic shows off its bright rose packaging, moisturizers are mostly dressed in blue or blue-green while whitening products are obviously in white. And don’t worry, Men’s products are all in black… with a touch of pink.
But let’s get back to our review. This huge (120ml !!) blue, yet still princess-like, tube hides a thick ice blue gel that literally melts on and into your skin, leaving a myriad of droplets behind it.
This is what the “waterdrop” in Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack means : when you spread the pack on your face, it reacts with the skin and creates tiny drops of water.
Before we get into the actual results of this product, let me tell you how to make the most of the Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack :
1. In the evening, wash your face as usual and pat dry with a towel.
2. Generously apply Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack on your face, avoiding the eyes and lips.
3. Wait a few seconds until the first drops appear then lightly massage your face.
4. Once all the water drops have appeared, you have 2 options :
– if you’re going to bed right after your skin care routine, lightly massage your face until the drops are absorbed. Never rub the pack into your skin.
– if you have a bit more time, let the water drops be naturally absorbed by your skin before going to bed.
5. Have a good night sleep 🙂
Please note that unlike other sleeping packs, you don’t have to rinse off Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack the following morning.
Sweet Talk :
“By including Swiss Alpine extracts, it is absorbed without stickiness and also formulates moisturizing film to supply moisture and nutrition onto tired skin by daytime to keep your skin moisturized until next day. Various beauty ingredients give shaping effect to make skin elastic by tightening skin while sleeping.”
The Naked Truth :
Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack does contain extracts from a couple of plants that can be found in the Swiss Alps (although we can’t know for sure if they really come from there) : Arnica Montana and Gentiana Lutea, which both have great anti-inflammatory properties. Other natural ingredients are : Achillea Millefolium, a plant that helps dry and damaged skin to become supple again, Portulaca Oleracea, which does wonder against skin diseases like eczema and dermatitis due to its anti-allergy properties and is said to reduce acne, Artemisia Absinthium, a plant used as an antiseptic and Sorghum Bicolor, which tightens the skin by forming a stretching film on its surface.
Wearing Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack feels really comfortable. As soon as you apply it, you get a nice cool sensation on your face and its watery formula is quickly absorbed without any stickiness. It does a wonderful job as a moisturizer, even for very dry skin, while making your face look brighter and firmer (my jawline and chin were visibly more defined). And let’s not forget its incredibly addictive smell, as fresh as an Alpine lake surrounded by mountain flowers ❤
