It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream 01 Cherry Blossom Review !

Published July 7, 2015 by Beauty-full Dreams

Yes, you read it right :¬†after a whole¬†year (gosh, time really do fly…), reviews are back on Beauty-full Dreams ! And they’re back with a vengeance ;p Well, not quite but they’re back in a slightly revamped version that you can contribute to make even better¬†^-^ I’ll tell you how at the end of this post ūüėČ

But now, on to the review :

Spring is officially over but don’t worry, you can still bask in the sweet scents of cherry blossoms, thanks to It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream ūüėÄ

itsskinminibebehandcream1

itsskinminibebehandcream2

itsskinminibebehandcream3

This cute little tube is part of the Mini Bebe series, 9 small-sized foam cleansers, mists & hand creams sold at bargain prices.

itsskinminibebehandcream8

The Hand Creams flavors are 01 Cherry Blossom, 02 Fresh Lime and 03 Vanilla Cotton. Today I’m reviewing the Cherry Blossom one but I also tried the Fresh Lime a while ago and they both¬†share the same characteristics ūüôā

itsskinminibebehandcream7

It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream is a light white cream that turns into a more watery texture once spread. It’s easily absorbed by the skin and has a wonderful cherry blossom fragrance ‚̧ It makes your hands soft, with no sticky or greasy residue.

itsskinminibebehandcream4

itsskinminibebehandcream5

Sweet Talk :

‚ÄúNatural moisturizing ingredients moisturize rough hands! Without sticky, moist and long-lasting in flavor.”

The Naked Truth :

Although the composition isn’t 100% natural, It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream¬†truly contains some natural ingredients like honey, papaya, aloe and, of course, cherry blossoms that help moisturizing your skin. Here’s the full list :

¬†Water, Glycerin, Mineral Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Milk Protein Extract, Honey Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Allantoin, Betaine, Microcrystalline Wax, Polysorbate 60, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propyl paraben, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance¬†“ (credits : It’s Skin website)

As I said earlier, it’s absolutely non-sticky which is always a big plus for a hand cream. I won’t go as far as saying it keeps your hands “moist” but it does moisturize normal skins. Unfortunately, if your hands are seriously dry or chapped, it won’t be enough to repair the skin.

If you’re sensitive to smells, It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream¬†is probably not the right product for you. The cherry blossom scent is quite strong and does last for quite a bit. Of course, it slowly fades as time goes by but it’s still noticeable. Even after washing your hands, a faint smell remains. The same goes for the Fresh Lime version and its tangy, slightly¬†artificial lemon fragrance.

It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream 01 Cherry Blossom¬†in a nutshell :

Nice Texture ? Yes ! Soft cream turning into watery texture ūüėÄ

Pleasant smell ? Yes, like candied cherry blossoms ^^

Comfortable ? Yes, your hands feel soft & moisturized ūüôā

Effective ? Yes, unless you have very dry skin then it won’t be enough…

Good value ? Oh yeah ! $3.16 for a 30ml tube that lasts quite a while ūüėÄ

It’s Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream¬†01 Cherry Blossom might not be the most nourishing/moisturizing cream ever,¬†yet it does a pretty good job for normal to slightly dry skins. Cheap and convenient, it’s a¬†nice hand cream¬†to carry around in your bag. Its wonderful cherry blossom smell can either be¬†a big plus or a major flaw though, depending on whether you like scented cosmetics or not ūüėČ

And now my lovely readers, I¬†request your help ! In order to get closer to your needs, I’d like ask you a few questions :

1/ in the “product in a nutshell” section, do you prefer text only¬†or should I give stars for each category ?

2/ do you want a final, global grade or something (stars, hearts, etc.) at the end of the review ?

3/ would you like a clear “visual verdict” at the end of the review, like an icon/vector/whatever saying if you should buy it, give it a try or stay away from this product ?

I’d really appreciate if you could give me your opinion in the comment section ^^ Thank you ~

A YEAR IN KBEAUTY : THE 5 WEIRDEST CONCEPTS OF 2014

Published January 4, 2015 by Beauty-full Dreams

Some concepts are so innovating that they come out as plain weird ;p¬†Which doesn’t mean that these products are bad or anything, they’re probably¬†quite good actually¬†and, if I have the chance, I’ll be happy to try them ūüôā¬†I just find them and/or the way they are marketed pretty funny ^^

So, here are the most bizarre items released in 2014 :

Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack

berri1

A lip pack that acts like a lip tint !

berri2

berri3

Apply a thick and even layer of Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack on your lips, wait for 5 to 10 minutes then peel off the dried pack. Et voil√†, your lips are tinted for the next 12 hours ! (Be careful though to keep your lips slightly open when you apply the pack & when you wait for it to dry ūüėČ )

Available in 8 colors : Bubble Pink, Lovely Peach, Sexy Red, Pure Pink, Candy Orange, Chic Purple and the brand new Virgin Red & Vivid Scarlet

EZN Shaking Pudding Hair Color

ezn1

Hair colors have already been sold in liquid, gel, cream, oil, spray, powder, foam and God-knows-what forms so why not a pudding texture. The problem is the big fat pudding on the packaging and in the CF creates a not that great mental image of applying something thick, gelatinous and sticky on your hair… That aside, from what I heard EZN Shaking Pudding Hair Color is a great hair color with vivid shades (if you can stand its¬†very strong smell).

Haru Lady Up Vibration Facial Cleansing Brush

3 vibrating brushes to help you to thoroughly cleanse your face and pores may be efficient,

too bad this cleansing tool looks like an alien or an alien hand ;p

Holika Holika Pro-Beauty Bloody Oil Tint

hhvamp1

Holika Holika kinda comes back to its roots with this item, back in the good old days when “magical” was the keyword, products sold in potion bottles and jars and the guys from CNBlue posed dressed as vampires/sorcerers holding a black cat ‚̧ Ah, nostalgia… (I’ll never¬†get over the fact they gave up the magic for a generic cutesy look)

Anyway, this Pro-Beauty Bloody Oil Tint is a tint-in-oil product, like It’s Skin Babyface Oil Drop. The oil part is here to moisturize your lips and gives a shiny finish while the tint obviously colors your lips. Just shake the tube to mix them together and apply ūüôā So, where’s the catch ? Well, Holika Holika didn’t create it like any ordinary lipwear, it’s specifically designed to give you vampire lips, hence the “bloody” part of the name¬†! How about that ? ūüėÄ

Skin1004 Zombie Pack

If you’re¬†a horror movie fan, you know that zombies have been all the rage for the past couple of years. Here’s your chance to (temporary, thank God) become one while using this mask !

sk1004

sk1004b

sk1004c

This lifting, whitening, pore-tightening mask cracks while drying, creating strange zombie-like lines on your face ūüėÄ

It’s Skin Apple Peeling Tissue Review

Published February 5, 2014 by Beauty-full Dreams

We all know that exfoliating the skin is important to keep it healthy and beautiful but it’s not always easy : scrubs can cause irritation, peelings are messy and AHA-based lotions can be harsh on the skin. That’s why It’s Skin came up with a new alternative, the Apple Peeling Tissue.

itapple1.jpg

itapple2.jpg

At 1rst glance, it looks like a regular pack of cleansing tissues but when you open it and take one of the peeling tissue out…

itapple3.jpg

itapple4.jpg

itapple5.jpg

Surprise ! It’s a colorful apple-shaped pad with a fresh green apple smell ūüôā

So, how do you use this ? Directions are written in English on the back of the pack but I find them pretty vague, so here’s what I recommend :

1. Wash your face ¬†as usual and pat dry with a towel. If your skin is sensitive, don’t dry it completely.

2. Take an Apple Peeling Tissue out and gently wipe your face with the colorful side. Be careful : don’t rub it in circle on your face and never use it on/around your eyes & lips !

3. Use the other side of the peeling tissue to gently wipe your face a 2nd time.

4. Let your skin dry a little.

5. Apply your moisturizer as usual.

Sweet Talk

“Apple Peeling Tissue is an easy & mild for daily exfoliating. Natural extracts of apple make your skin fresh, smooth, glowing & vibrant everyday”

The Naked Truth

It’s amazing what a small apple-shaped tissue can do¬†for your skin ! It’s Skin Apple Peeling Tissue really makes your skin brighter, clearer and softer without causing any redness or discomfort, even on sensitive skin ūüėÄ Apple extract (4 mg !), but also aloe, kiwi, tea leaves, soapwort and castor oil all help to give your face a healthy glow.

itapple6.jpg

Despite all these, I won’t recommend using it everyday, especially if you have sensitive skin, due to the presence of alcohol. Twice a week seems like a good start to get the fresh-looking skin you’ve always wanted ūüėČ

About the “easy” part, well, of course it’s way easier to use than scrubs and regular peelings but being thicker than cleansing tissues makes these apple-shaped pads not that convenient to get out of the pack and to hold while wiping your face. Still, it’s not a big issue. Also, the English directions say to “lightly tap remaining contents on the face for the absorption” but these tissues aren’t soaked enough to leave anything that needs to be tapped into the skin…

So, It’s Skin Apple Peeling Tissue in a nutshell‚Ķ

Pleasant smell ? Yes !! Fresh & crispy green apple scent (with a hint of alcohol)

Easy to use ? Yes

Comfortable ? Yes, even on sensitive skin

Effective ? YES !

Good value ? Great value ! ($2.74/15 tissues, currently on sale at $0.98 !!)

Quick and simple to use, easy to carry around, extremely efficient with a great fresh Granny Smith fragrance and very affordable,¬†It’s Skin Apple Peeling Tissue¬†will instantly become¬†your new ally in your quest of the perfect skin !

Many Korean brands were having sales on Gmarket in December so I made one last order for 2013, what was supposed to be my Christmas order. So, why¬† am I only showing it now, you wonder ? Gmarket Shipping Cost Mystery Revealed

Published December 20, 2013 by Beauty-full Dreams

And now what you’ve all¬†been waiting for : a post about ordering from Gmarket

Actually, placing an order on Gmarket is pretty easy once you understand their peculiar shipping cost system.

Let’s see how it goes :

Each item sold on Gmarket has an estimated weight determined by the seller him/herself, regardless of its actual weight. You can see it on the product page :

hhcaviar

The estimated weight hardly ever match the real weight of the item.¬†Supposedly, the difference between the two corresponds to the packaging of the product. Well, after 2 and a half years of ordering from Gmarket, I can tell you that it’s rarely the case.

So expect your Korean cosmetics to have an estimated weight of 0.2 kg on average, even¬†those that only weigh less than 5 g in real life…

bveye

Baviphat eye stick : estimated weight = 0.6 kg, real weight = 9 g, doesn’t come in any kind of packaging…

Why is this shipping cost talk so important, you wonder ? Because when you place an order on Gmarket, you’re paying the shipping cost upfront, before knowing the real¬†final weight of your parcel.¬†For¬†each item put in your shopping cart, the system¬†gives you¬†the total amount of your order, including¬†the shipping cost based on the sum of all estimated weights and your location. And trust me EMS (the only shipping option available) costs go up pretty fast.

shoppingcart

Estimated shipping cost at the bottom of the shopping cart

So, is it as unfair as it sounds ? Well, not really. Once Gmarket receive all the items of your order from the sellers, they pack everything in a single parcel and weigh it. If the actual weight is inferior to the estimated weight, they’ll credit the difference in shipping cost to your Gaccount.¬†And if the actual weight is superior to the estimated weight, you’ll have to pay the difference before they send you your order.

shippingcost

Here the estimated weight was higher than the actual weight so 9,000 won were credited back

The good thing is that the money you pay for over-estimated weights isn’t lost, you get it back on your Gaccount. The bad thing is 1/ you have to pay a larger sum of money than necessary when you are¬†placing the order, and 2/ the money isn’t credited¬†on your bank account/paypal account, it’s credited on your Gaccount. You don’t actually get the money back, you can only use it for a future order.

So, my advice would be : always carefully check both the estimated weight & actual weight of what you want to buy and if there’s a big difference, ask yourself if you¬†can afford to pay the extra¬†money upfront.

Hope this helps ^^
