Gmarket Haul : Etude House, Tony Moly, Holika Holika & The SAEM <3

Published March 21, 2015 by Beauty-full Dreams

Hello, my Beauties ! I know I still owe you a post on Laneige’s new Two Tone Lip Bar but I’ve just received my parcel from Gmarket and I can’t resist showing you my latest purchases ❤

(as usual, click to see the big picture 😉 )

I haven’t bought Korean novelties for quite a while so I’m super excited to try these ones 😀

The SAEM items were on sale so I ordered a new Urban Eco Harakeke Cream Ex for my mum, she really loves this cream 🙂

Since I had to restock my Holika Holika Petit BB Moisture, I also added the Clearing version (it’s supposed to keep your face sebum-free) and the Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner in #08 Pink Topaz

These are the new packagings of Holika Holika Petit BB, the old one looked like this :

I’ve had my eyes on the Pink Topaz eyeliner for a long while but each time I ordered, it was already sold-out. Now I got it at last !

Tony Moly had Spring sales so I bought the Magic Food Banana Hand Milk and, from Tony Moly’s brand new 2015 Spring/Summer Makeup Collection, a Kiss Lover Style Lipstick (SG02 – Pink Light) and 3 Delight Dalcom Glosses (Pineapple, Tangerine & Grape) 😀

I also got the Perfect Lip& Eye Remover as a gift ^^

Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk truly looks like a real banana 😀 And it has the wonderful smell of a ripe banana too !

The top is made of hard plastic but the body is made of rubber so it feels close to holding an actual banana too 🙂

And now, swatches time !

Tony Moly Kiss Lover Style Lipstick SG02 is a beautiful strawberry pink with a nice glossy finish 😀

My new “Delight” 😉

Tony Moly Delight Dalcom Glosses are very comfortable to wear on your lips, they have beautiful, barely pigmented colors, nice matching fruit scents, they’re absolutely not sticky and they have an amazing mirror shine ❤

On the last 2 pics, you can also see Holika Holika Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner – Pink Topaz 😉

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for : Etude House Color In Liquid Lips ! And Etude House gave me a Play Nail polish and Face Blur sample with it 😀

After much hesitation, I picked the OR201 shade, Juicy In Juice. Originally, I wanted to buy the PP501 (Purple In Candy) one but I was afraid it would turn out too flashy.

Ready for the swatches ? ;p

As close as I tried to get to its true color, it’s actually slightly more pinkish in real life.

Etude House Color In Liquid Lips OR201 Juicy In Juice in all its glory : a gorgeous peach-coral shade, loud, opaque, pigmented and almost neon, I absolutely love it ❤ And it feels amazing on your lips, as if you’re wearing nothing yet it keeps them moisturized ^-^

(for those who don’t know yet, all my pics are taken without flash, indoor and under natural light 😉 )

Last but not least, Etude House Play Nails #6 Innocent Strawberry Syrup :

It’s a pretty sheer nail polish so it took 3 layers to get this result. I’m glad I got to try it, this shade is beautiful, it’s very easy to apply and it has a super glossy finish !

As you can guess, I’m so happy with this order !! Once again Etude House color charts & pics were totally off, the Color In Liquid Lips shades are so much more beautiful in real life ❤ Now that I know, I’ll probably buy more of them later ^^ Also, I have a major crush on Tony Moly’s 2015 Spring Summer lipsticks & glosses, so maybe more of them too in my next order 😉 And some Etude House Play Nails would be nice too 😀

Reviews coming soon !

Gmarket January Order <3

Published February 19, 2014 by Beauty-full Dreams

Look at what I received last week :

Both Etude House and The SAEM had sales in January so I picked up a few items from these shops 🙂

Let’s see this new haul in details :

ehjan1.jpgMoonlight In Spoon Blending Creams, Sunshine In Spoon Scrub Massages (both lines were at half price), Mini Jamjam Hand Lotion – Citrus, Ice Cream Nails BL601 Cool Blue Mint & BE101 Sweet Banana, Eyelashes 11 – Under Lash, Bling In The Sea Proof 10 Color Eye Stick BR401 Tanning Brown. And a gift 😉

perijan1.jpgMy Color Eyes #15 Lucid Pink, #22 Sugar Lavender & #31 Secret Garden

tsaemjan1.jpgUrban Eco Harakeke Cream EX, Urban Eco Harakeke Toner and more : a 20-something page booklet filled with GD’s commercial pics (the same as the one I got with my first order from The SAEM) and samples of Kumerahou Calming Washing Foam

gmjan2.jpgSamples & freebies ^^

And now, time for swatches & close-ups !

perijan5.jpg(All pics taken without flash)

Only 1 swipe of these eyeshadows and look at how shiny they are !

ehjan2.jpg2 beautiful colors 🙂 I love how the top not only has the shape but also the texture of an ice cream cone ^^

ehjan3.jpgBe careful when using this Tanning Brown shade : just like the Deep Ocean Blue, it’s heavily pigmented so it’s easy to apply too much of it 😉

ehjan4.jpg(no flash, direct sunlight)

ehjan6.jpgEach Scrub Massage comes in two 14 ml sachets. I already tried this one and so far I have mixed feelings about it. I followed the instructions written in English on the back and massaged it in circular motion for 2-3 minutes on dry skin. Problem is I couldn’t even reach the 2 minutes because the scrub was starting to get absorbed by my skin !! After I rinsed it and put some moisturizer, a few spots of my face became itchy 😦 On the other hand, when I washed off the Scrub Massage, the results were amazing : my skin wasn’t just brighter, it was actually whiter and really soft ! Next time, I’ll use it my way (slightly damp skin & no more than 30-40 seconds) & see how it turns out 😉

Moonlight In Spoon Blending Cream is a 2-part spoon : you break off the handle and use it to mix the cream-in-gel sleeping mask inside the curve of the spoon ^^ My mum tried the olive one and she loved it 🙂

ehjan7.jpgThe mysterious gift from Etude House is in fact a pouch…

ehjan9.jpg… that turns into an armchair -shaped stand for your makeup brushes !!

tsaemjan2.jpgThe Harakeke (a plant from New-Zealand) Cream and Toner were sold together. They are gifts for my mum 😉

That’s it for today ! I’m taking a short break but I’ll be back in a few days with Holika Holika I Want Chu and Etude House Sweet Recipe reviews ^^

Etude House Bling In The Sea, Dear My Jelly Lips-talk and Holika Holika I Want Chu Swatches

Published January 20, 2014 by Beauty-full Dreams

As promised, here are some swatches from my latest Gmarket order :

Etude House Bling In The Sea Proof 10 Color Eye Stick BL602 Ocean Wave Blue

Even though it has a blue sticker on the cap, is called “Ocean Wave Blue and looks blue when you open it, this eye stick is actually a green shade

ehbl1.jpgNo flash, direct sunlight

ehbl2.jpgNo flash, inside

A green-blue aqua kind of shade if you prefer, but still green 😉 And extremely shiny ❤

Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk JPK004 Grapefruit Syrup

My 3rd Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk ! So after “A Mouthfull Of Cotton Candy” and “A Slice Of Tangy Lemon”, please welcome my new “Grapefruit Syrup”

I’m kidding ! Although a neon glow-in-the-dark orange lipstick would be fun 😀  I just like the way it looks hit by a ray of sun, but its real color is this :

And like all the Dear My Jelly Lips-talk lipsticks, don’t take the bright solid color of the tube for granted :

ehdj4.jpgNo flash, direct sunlight. From left to right : 1 swipe, 2 swipes, 3 swipes

ehdj6.jpgNo flash, inside. From left to right : 1 swipe, 2 swipes, 3 swipes

Holika Holika I Want Chu “Mojito Kiss” & “Cherry Coke Kiss”

I Want Chu is a set of 2 lipbalms, 1 for you & 1 for your boyfriend, aiming to add some extra flavor to your kisses ^^ There are 4 different sets but I only picked 2 : “Mojito Kiss” & “Cherry Coke Kiss”.

Mojito Kiss = Mint + Lemon

No flash, inside. Left = Lemon, right = Mint

These lipbalms all have a delicious smell but they’re pretty sheer, although glossy, on the skin. Except the Cherry one, which is a bit more pigmented :

Cherry Coke Kiss = Cherry + Cola

No flash, inside. Left = Cola, right = Cherry

That’s all for now ! Next time, I’ll tell you if It’s Skin Apple Peeling Tissue is really worth buying, so stay tuned 😉

Many Korean brands were having sales on Gmarket in December so I made one last order for 2013, what was supposed to be my Christmas order. So, why  am I only showing it now, you wonder ? Gmarket Shipping Cost Mystery Revealed

Published December 20, 2013 by Beauty-full Dreams

And now what you’ve all been waiting for : a post about ordering from Gmarket

Actually, placing an order on Gmarket is pretty easy once you understand their peculiar shipping cost system.

Let’s see how it goes :

Each item sold on Gmarket has an estimated weight determined by the seller him/herself, regardless of its actual weight. You can see it on the product page :

The estimated weight hardly ever match the real weight of the item. Supposedly, the difference between the two corresponds to the packaging of the product. Well, after 2 and a half years of ordering from Gmarket, I can tell you that it’s rarely the case.

So expect your Korean cosmetics to have an estimated weight of 0.2 kg on average, even those that only weigh less than 5 g in real life…

Baviphat eye stick : estimated weight = 0.6 kg, real weight = 9 g, doesn’t come in any kind of packaging…

Why is this shipping cost talk so important, you wonder ? Because when you place an order on Gmarket, you’re paying the shipping cost upfront, before knowing the real final weight of your parcel. For each item put in your shopping cart, the system gives you the total amount of your order, including the shipping cost based on the sum of all estimated weights and your location. And trust me EMS (the only shipping option available) costs go up pretty fast.

Estimated shipping cost at the bottom of the shopping cart

So, is it as unfair as it sounds ? Well, not really. Once Gmarket receive all the items of your order from the sellers, they pack everything in a single parcel and weigh it. If the actual weight is inferior to the estimated weight, they’ll credit the difference in shipping cost to your Gaccount. And if the actual weight is superior to the estimated weight, you’ll have to pay the difference before they send you your order.

Here the estimated weight was higher than the actual weight so 9,000 won were credited back

The good thing is that the money you pay for over-estimated weights isn’t lost, you get it back on your Gaccount. The bad thing is 1/ you have to pay a larger sum of money than necessary when you are placing the order, and 2/ the money isn’t credited on your bank account/paypal account, it’s credited on your Gaccount. You don’t actually get the money back, you can only use it for a future order.

So, my advice would be : always carefully check both the estimated weight & actual weight of what you want to buy and if there’s a big difference, ask yourself if you can afford to pay the extra money upfront.

Hope this helps ^^
